We are living in a time when extremist groups, claiming identity with many great religious traditions, including Christianity, are using sophisticated methods of recruiting, training and organizing. Increased media attention to their violent acts and extremist ideologies creates the public perception that religions are a force for evil, rather than for justice, inclusivity and peace.
SCUPE envisions a world in which religions are a proactive force for justice, inclusivity and peace.
SCUPE trains powerful leaders to engage the many expressions of religious extremism and to catalyze initiatives for religious freedom and interreligious cooperation that build systems leading to justice, inclusivity, and peace.
SCUPE’s alums do this work here in the States and around the world.
